WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident that left one woman injured.
It happened around 4:08 p.m. Thursday on Beechland Road.
Officials say 34-year-old Shannon Cunnningham, of Springfield, was travelling eastbound when she entered into a curve and met an oncoming vehicle partially in her lane. She then swerved to avoid the collision, lost control of her vehicle and went down an embankment into a field.
Cunningham was belted and was transported to Springview Hospital.
Two juvenile passengers in the vehicle were belted and not injured.
