MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reporting one person has died in a commercial motor vehicle crash that’s backing up traffic on I-75 in Madison County.
Reportedly it happened near mile marker 82 on the northbound side, causing the interstate to be shut down Saturday afternoon.
KYTC reports there was a 50 gallon fuel spill from the wreck and it is affecting a creek in the area.
LEX 18 viewers say traffic is backed up for miles, and it’s been that way for about two hours.
A number of emergency officials are working to clean up the crash.
