WAYNE COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A man was arrested in Wayne County after police say he was operating a boat under the influence and his wife fell off the boat and was struck by the propeller.

The arrest citation said that authorities saw Christopher Stanlay driving the boat into the Conley Bottom Marina. He had called KSP saying that his wife fell from the boat and had been struck by the boat propeller. He said he would bring his wife to the marina for medical treatment.

The wife had a severe cut from the boat propeller on her leg. She was flown out for treatment of her injuries.

The arrest citation said that officers smelled what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage. The report said he had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. He admitted that he had been drinking throughout the day and that his wife did too.
