LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police say a man was found shot to death early Sunday morning downtown but believe the man was killed at a different location.
Authorities say police were called out about 3 a.m. to Broadway and Short Street. The responding officers found a man dead from a gunshot wound in the backseat of vehicle.
Officers say they don’t believe the man was killed where his body was found but are still trying to locate a crime scene.
After the body was found, police were called out to Broadway and Virginia Avenue but no shell casings were found.
Police continue to interview potential witnesses as they investigate the crime.
