LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE3) — Authorities have charged a woman with murder after a wreck early Saturday morning that killed a motorcyclist.

WAVE3 reports here that police say 27-year-old Jane Watts caused a crash about 3 a.m. near South 2nd Street and Broadway.

Louisville Metro Police say Watts turned her vehicle in front  of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, police said, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watts remained at the scene, but investigators said they suspect that she was impaired at the time of the crash.

Watts is charged with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and wanton endangerment.
