RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — A fire ripped through the Bluegrass Barrel House in downtown Richmond on Tuesday morning, severely damaging the popular bar.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out around 9:45 a.m.
Firefighters responded blasting water and cutting a hole in the roof to vent the fire as they extinguished the flames.
The bar suffered severe fire, smoke and water damage. An adjacent bike shop, Bernie’s Cycle Shop, suffered water damage.
The Bluegrass Barrel House will remain closed until further notice.
