TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police have arrested a man accused of trying to rape a store clerk during an armed robbery.
The incident happened Saturday at Trendsetters Consignment on Nancy Cox Drive in Campbellsville.
Officers say a man held the clerk at gunpoint, then took money before leaving the store.
A witness was able to get the license plate of the robber’s vehicle.
Police identified the suspect as 50-year-old Michael Adams, of Campbellsville.
He’s charged with robbery and attempted rape.
