LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Three women are safe after a fire at their home.
It happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday on Careto Court.
Officials say when they arrived on scene, they saw flames coming from one of the bedrooms.
They were quickly able to contain it, and evacuate the home.
One woman, who lives there, said she woke up to her floor fan smoking and on fire. She quickly alerted the other two women in the home.
One was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Officials say there is significant damage to the home, and the women will be staying with other family members for now.
