PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – Storm damage in Johnson County is believed to have been caused by a microburst storm system.
The National Weather Service in Jackson sent a team to survey the damage and found damaged caused by microburst winds between 75 and 85 miles per hour.
The storm removed part of a roof on an office building and a steeple from a church building. Winds also felled several trees, one of which fell on a residential building.
