LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is in jail Friday morning after he allegedly robbed someone at gunpoint.
It happened around 9 p.m. Thursday night on Avon Avenue.
Police say 83-year-old Dwight Newton took money from the victim and then took out a loaded pistol.
Newton was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center and charged with first-degree robbery.
