LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18 and COURIER JOURNAL) – Hundreds of demonstrators showed up at dueling protests outside the immigration and customs enforcement office in Louisville Saturday.

One group was protesting against President Trump’s immigration policies and the other a paramilitary group counter-protesting.

The Courier-Journal reports police closed several major streets in the downtown area because of the two protests.

Before the demonstrations, the police chief expressed concern that some protesters may carry guns.

As a result, the police department canceled planned days off for officers and had an all-hands-on-deck situation.

There were no reports of violence or arrests.
