DANVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — An elderly man was hospitalized early Saturday morning after a fire broke out in his Danville home.
Emergency Management officials say the blaze started about 5:40 a.m.

An elderly man who lives in the home was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. Officials said he was alert and talking with first responders.
Heavy smoke hung in the area as fire crews worked to douse the flames.
Officials said the home’s roof collapsed.
The cause of the fire was not know. The case remains under investigation.
