WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A teenage girl from Ohio is recovering after being injured Friday afternoon in a tubing mishap on Lake Cumberland.
Officials say the accident happened about 4 p.m.
According to authorities, the 14-year-old girl was on a tube with two other juveniles when they were ejected after the inflatable hit a wake.
The girl made contact with the others as they fell, injuring her back and neck.
The teen was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset in undisclosed condition.
Authorities say the incident remains under investigation but that drugs and alcohol were not suspected in the case.
