COLLIER COUNTY, Fl. (WFTX via CNN WIRE) – A Florida woman has been charged with murder ar her father was found shot and killed in their home.
Authorities believe she lived in the house with her father’s corpse for several days.
38-year-old Rocquel Priser was walking behind her parents inside this golden gate estates home.
Collier county sheriff’s deputies tell CNN affiliate WFTX that 38-year-old Rocquel Priser shot her father in the head while walking behind her parents inside their home last Sunday.
Deputies say that the shooting wasn’t reported though. On Tuesday, reportedly Priser’s mother Susan ran into the woods but fell and hurt herself. She had to be taken to the hospital.
It wasn’t until Thursday when Susan asked deputies to check on her husband Rocky.
Deputies say when they arrived; Priser barricaded herself inside the home.
Reportedly they finally entered two hours later and arrested Priser, only then discovered her father’s body wrapped in a cloth.
Neighbors were shocked by the news.
"Especially for it to be this close, you know, it’s an eye-opener. Who can you trust, you know what I mean? There’s good people and bad people, but how do we know,” said neighbor Dylan Singletary.
Rocquel Priser was charged with her father’s murder.
She appeared in court Friday.
A judge set her bond at half a million dollars.
