DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Daviess County is under a state of emergency due to two water main breaks.

They happened Monday morning at an old utility plant.

The state of emergency was declared around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Officials with East Daviess County Water say all customers in Daviess, Hancock, and Ohio counties are under a boil advisory.

Water service is expected to return to normal Tuesday, but the advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

Customers are also asked to conserve water.
