BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Marion County community center is hosting a public cleanup day this Thursday to help repair flood damage.
The Forkland Community Center was badly flooded. Professional cleaners have tackled the main building and the center is looking for volunteers to help clean the grounds.
The grounds include the outside buildings (picnic shelter, concession stand, log cabin, farm museum, pancake breakfast area). Other items need attention. The center needs help cleaning furniture, dishes, and other items.
The workday is being held Thursday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Volunteers should bring their own lunch.
