Shots Fired Into Laurel County Apartment

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Law enforcement is investigating a case where numerous shots were fired into an apartment over the weekend.

It happened Saturday night at a home off County Farm Road.

Officials say the two residents discovered the bullet holes in their wall when they woke up around 7:16 a.m. Sunday.

When detectives and deputies arrived at the scene, they reportedly discovered that six rounds had been fired through the apartment front wall and traveled through other walls inside the residence. Some rounds lodged in the walls and at least one lodged in a recliner near where one resident was located.

Investigators determined that the weapon is a .380 caliber.

Two persons were present inside the apartment when the shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
