LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Triple Crown winner Justify is headed for a medical examination.
He’s reportedly having a problem with his ankle.
WAVE 3 News is reporting that the champion thoroughbred is showing some recurring filling in his left front ankle.
Filling is the term used for swelling or inflammation.
The injury could be minor, or career-ending, but right now it’s to soon to tell.
So future racing plans are on hold until doctors find out what’s going on. That includes the Breeder’s Cup in November at Churchill Downs.
