LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Walmart has announced that it will close a Lexington location of their store next month.
The store, located at Richmond Road and Man o’ War, is set to close August 10.
Close to 200 associates were informed of the closure Wednesday morning. They will be paid through September and will have the chance to transfer to other Walmart or Sam’s Club stores, a spokesperson from the store confirmed to LEX 18 News.
Three other stores in Louisville are set to shut down as well.

We opened this store in 1993 and we are as proud today as we’ve ever been with how the store leadership and associates have served and contributed to the local community over the years. We are grateful to the customers who have given us the privilege of serving them at the Richmond Road store.
