BARDSTOWN, Ky (LEX 18) A man connected to the case of a missing Nelson County mother has been charged in relation to a theft investigation.

The Bardstown Police Department served an arrest warrant for Brooks Houck on Wednesday, charging him with four Felony counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 or more but under $10,000 and four Misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking under $500.

Crystal Rogers, a Bardstown mother of five, was reported missing July 5, 2015.  Her boyfriend, Brooks Houck was named by investigators as a suspect in her disappearance and his brother, a Bardstown police officer, was fired.

Rogers’ father, Tommy Ballard, was shot and killed in 2017 while hunting. That case also remains unsolved.
