LEXINGTON,  Ky. (LEX 18) – A Lexington mother is worried about her missing son and wants him to call home.

Dwayne Lewis’ cell phone was last detected in Tennessee about three weeks ago, but has been off the grid since. His mother, Willow Lewis-Sons, says she last saw Dwayne at the beginning at June. He was working a temporary job in Winchester and told his brother he was apartment hunting.

Then there was nothing. No one has heard from him. His cell phone was last pinged in Pigeon Forge on June 29.

That was 19 days ago.

Dwayne’s car, a 1999 Volkswagen Passat is also missing.

Lewis-Sons just wants him to let her know she is okay.

"It’s not uncommon for him to hop in the car and take a quick road trip. But he’s never been gone for more than two, maybe three days at the most, and he’s kept in touch," she told LEX 18.

Lexington Police say this is an active missing person investigation.
