Lexington Police Investigating Bank Robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)- Lexington Police are investigating a robbery at a Republic Bank branch.

A suspect walked into the branch on Euclid Avenue and demanded cash. A weapon was never shown or implied. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Police say he fled in an older model white Ford Explorer.

The suspect is a white male, police say he was wearing a ballcap and sunglasses, a blue UK t-shirt with a black, long-sleeved shirt sticking out underneath and blue jeans. He had brown hair. He was around 5’10”. 

Investigators have released surveillance video of the bank robbery. Police say it’s possible the suspect in this incident is also connected to a gas station robbery that occurred Tuesday evening on Alexandria Drive.
