LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Dozens of people gathered in front of the courthouse Wednesday night to show their disapproval over President Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Bluegrass Activist Alliance was one of several groups across the country to hold a "vigil for democracy".

They say the gathering was not a protest, but a way to show their concern over Trump’s recent remarks regarding the Russia investigation, and U.S. intelligence agencies.

"We felt like he chose a side with Russia choosing a side with our own intelligence agencies is not how the president should act who’s standing for our country," said Julie Martinez, of the Bluegrass Activist Alliance.

The vigil was sponsored by a coalition of over thirty organizations.
