LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Some kids in Lexington are already starting to think about heading back to school next month.
And to help them prepare for a successful year, they’ve opened a lemonade stand on Centre Parkway to raise money for school supplies.
The kids told LEX 18 News that one Lexington police officer came by, then radioed other officers in the area to pay them a visit.
Most of the girls say they’re not just raising money, they are honing their skills.
"This year me and her, we’re going into fourth grade and at our school we have entrepreneur fair… so me and her are trying to practice for the entrepreneur fair," said Corzyrhian Young .
The girls say they will be back in the same spot Thursday.
