BELL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP said that on Friday, a homeowner in the Calvin Community of Bell County called KSP saying that he had two people detained in his garage after they had broken in.

Troopers responded to the scene.

They said that preliminary investigation revealed that 43-year-old Chris Asher, and his daughter 25-year-old Christy Asher, had entered the owner’s garage without permission on numerous occasions throughout the last few weeks. Another woman, 39-year-old Karen Howerton was also found nearby and admitted to being involved in the burglary, according to KSP.

KSP said that all three were detained. Items stolen from the garage were located in Chris Asher’s apartment and vehicle. During the investigation, troopers discovered more items had been taken to another location from previous burglaries.

Troopers were led to a residence on Old Tanyard Hill Loop where a large amount of the owner’s property was discovered. Many items are still missing.

All three individuals were arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree. The burglary was first reported to the Bell County Sherriff’s Office on July 16, 2018.
