LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is in jail Friday morning accused of violently raping a woman.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in the 1300 block of Devonport Drive.
The alleged victim told police 25-year-old Harry McDermott held her down and forced her to have sex in a vehicle
He then pushed her out of the car, injuring her face and shoulder.
Police say the victim gave them McDermott’s license plate number and matching physical description.
He was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree rape.
