LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– We are hearing several reports trees down and accidents in the area of southbound I-75 near the Fayette-Madison County line.
A tree is down in the far right lane of I-75 near the 99 mile marker. A vehicle fire is also reported at the same mile marker. Officials have closed the southbound portion of the interstate until further notice.
There are several downed trees on Old Richmond Road as well, but one lane is now open, so they are diverting drivers here. Officials say drivers will just have to weave in and out of the debris.
