BURGIN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Investigators are working to find the cause of fire late Friday night in Mercer County.
Authorities say the blaze broke out about 11:30 p.m. on East Mill Street in Burgin.
According to officials, a neighbor notice the fire and called for help. The homeowners are believed to be away on vacation.
Officials tell LEX 18 the fire caused significant damage to the second story, including holes in the roof.
Electrical problems are being eyed but the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
