Man Convicted In Jessamine Co. Death Denied Parole

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – The man who pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a Nicholasville man has been denied parole.David Peel accepted a plea deal in the 2008 death of Mark Dunn. Peel pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the case. Under the deal he accepted, he was sentenced to 20 years and the charge of first-degree murder was amended. He was eligible for parole but was denied his request Tuesday. His next hearing was deferred for two years.  Peel also pleaded guilty to charges of trafficking heroin in Garrard County and second-degree escape.
