Bevin Near Bottom In Ranking Of US Governors

Matt Bevin is among the least well-liked state chief executives in the nation, according to a new ranking.The report by technology survey firm Morning Consult released Wednesday ranks the top leaders of all 50 states.See the full report here. The methodology can be viewed here.Bevin’s leadership was ranked among the nation’s worst in the report, coming in at No. 47.The first-term Republican ranked No. 4 on the disapproval ratings, 57 percent disapproving of the job he is doing. The report found that 29 percent say they approve of the governor.Morning Consult says Bevin’s popularity took a hit from the teacher protests inspired by his moves on pensions and budgets.The firm also says the research saw a spike in the number of Kentuckians who "strongly disapprove" of Bevin, leading to a big drop in his numbers compared with the company’s previous survey.
