(LEX 18)– Krispy Kreme is offering a big discount to celebrate the doughnut company’s 81st birthday.Buy a dozen doughnuts this Friday and you can get a second dozen of the original glazed doughnuts for $1.The company says the deal is only at participating shops.A special edition "glazed confetti doughnut" is also part of the celebration starting Friday and running through Aug. 2, while supplies last.It’s a vanilla birthday cake-doughnut with the original glaze and confetti sprinkles.
