KSP Announces Partnership With Passport For Fentanyl Response Kits

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) – Kentucky State Police have announced a new partnership with Passport to receive Fentanyl Response Kits. KSP applied for the grant to purchase protection kits for their officers who may come into contact with the deadly substance.The kits were provided by a grant funding program through Passport Health Plan and include Tyvek suits, respirator masks, fentanyl protective gloves, safety glasses, and portable gear bag. The kits are being supplied by Grainger, Inc. and will be issued through the KSP Supply Branch to all sworn units.The Kentucky State Police Foundation applied for the grant funds through the Passport Health Plan grant program and was awarded $25,000 to purchase the protective suits.
