Man Says He Was Shot While Driving In Tates Creek Area

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police are investigating after a man was shot while driving in the Tates Creek area.It happened just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.Police say a man was driving inbound on Tates Creek Road near Ash Grove Pike when he heard a loud bang. That’s when he felt a pain in his arm, pulled over into the Kroger parking lot, then called police. When officers arrived, they saw that there was a bullet hole in the vehicle and the victim had been shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures. According to police, the victim reported seeing a white van parked on the side of the road.Right now there is no word on whether that is connected to the shooting.
