BARDSTOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) – It’s a tragic case that continues to affect the Bardstown community. Signs inquiring to Crystal Rogers’ whereabouts are still on roadsides and in shop fronts all over Nelson County.
Rogers disappeared nearly three years ago on the Bluegrass Parkway. Her purse was found, still inside her car. Her boyfriend was named the main suspect, but no charges were ever brought forth.
Additionally, Crystal’s father, Tommy Ballard, who was conducting his own 16-month investigation into his daughter’s disappearance, was shot down and died, leaving a box of clues behind.
Oxygen’s "The Disappearance Of…" series will follow the case. Not only will it examine the Rogers and Ballard cases, it will also look at other unsolved murders in the city.
