LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington Fire Department officials say they’re investigating three car fires that happened in downtown Lexington parking garages within a matter of hours.
The first fire was reported around 1:15 Saturday afternoon at the parking garage at 140 East Main Street.
Reportedly one car was engulfed in flames and another car also suffered damage.
Fire crews had to pump water up to the fifth floor in order to put the fire out.
The fire department then received another call to East Main Street just before 5:00p.m. for a car on fire in a parking garage. A third parking garage car fire was called in shortly after.
Fire officials confirm they’ve responded to three car fires in downtown Lexington at three different parking garages. All of the fires are under investigation.
