LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police are investigating after a fight Friday night turned into a deadly shooting on Lexington’s south side.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said Saturday that 21-year-old Charon R. Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene, outside a home in the 3500 block of Camelot Drive.
Police say an altercation broke out about 10:30 p.m. between people in two vehicles. At some point, police say, someone pulled out a gun and fatally shot another person.
LEX 18 is told people involved are being questioned, and police say neighbors in the area are not in danger.
Funeral arrangements for Alexander were pending.
