BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a Danville man early Sunday morning after they say he shot at his former girlfriend’s car.

Authorities say 37-year-old Stephen Swann was arrested after Danville police were called out about 1:40 a.m. to report of shots fired.

According to a police statement, Swann told officers he was arguing with his ex-girlfriend and said he "felt that his life was in danger" when she wouldn’t leave.

Police found the ex-girlfriend and the vehicle, which had a bullet hole in the rear driver’s side door.

Swann was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.

He was being held in the Boyle County Detention Center.
