TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Officials with the Taylor County Detention Center have confirmed there was a riot early Tuesday morning.
We’re told 27 inmates were rioting inside their cell, cracking the glass on the walls, and trying to beat the door down.
The jailer says it took 30 to 40 minutes to get everything back under control.
The inmates have since been moved to the Marion County Detention Center.
