LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– An armed robbery leads to a large manhunt in Lexington.
It happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Ramada hotel on North Broadway near the interstate.
Police say a man entered the hotel with a shotgun and demanded money.
No one was injured and it’s unclear how much he took.
The suspect ran to a nearby Dollar General where he had parked a white pickup truck, but found that he had accidentally locked himself out.
As he heard police sirens, he bashed the window out with the shotgun and tossed it in the truck.
The truck was later reported as stolen.
The suspect eventually ran into a wooded area near the interstate and has not been found.
We’re told he was wearing a dark hoodie and jeans.
