(LEX 18)– A horseshoe worn by 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat is now up for auction.
The horseshoe is one Secretariat wore during his Kentucky Derby win. During that race, he set a record that still exists.
The shoe is certified as authentic by hall of fame trainer, Lucien Laurin.
The starting bid was $10,000 and the current bid is almost $19,500. There are just over 16 days left in the auction.
