LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Newly retired, Triple Crown winner, Justify is heading back to the Bluegrass.
Justify is being flown in from California and arriving at Blue Grass Airport any time.
He will be taken to Winstar Farm in Versailles.
Last month it was announced that Justify had been suffering from swelling in his ankles and could no longer race.
He was the first undefeated Triple Crown winner since Seattle Slew in 1977.
Justify is expected to start work in the breeding shed in February.
