(Safe Wise) Safe Wise named Lexington one of the top 10 safest metro cities in America for 2018.
Safe Wise said that the safest metro city is Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Lexington comes in third. The Safe Wise blog post talked about Lexington’s proactive safety initiatives likes its involvement in the US Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods.
Safe Wise said that in Lexington, the number of violent crimes per 1,000 people is 3.39 and the number of property crimes per 1,000 people is 41.08.
The most dangerous metro cities were Detroit, St. Louis, and Memphis, according to Safe Wise.
