MADISON COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) Deputies in Madison County tell LEX 18 that a man was bitten by a dog, then shot by someone who tried to save them.
This happened Tuesday at a home on Long Hollow Road, off Mason Lake Road.
Deputies say the dog attacked a man, so a woman shot the dog, but the bullet passed through the dog and hit the victim in the leg.
The man was taken to UK Hospital for help. No charges were filed.
No word on what happened to the dog.
