Bob Dylan To Perform At EKU

RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) –  Bob Dylan and his Band will tour the United States this fall, including a stop in Richmond, Kentucky, on Sunday, November 11 at 8 p.m. at the EKU Center.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, August 10 at 10:00 AM, and are priced at $69.50, $99.50, and $129.50. Tickets can be purchased online at EKUCenter.com, by calling the box office at 859-622-7469, or in person at 1 Hall Drive in Richmond, on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. Friends of the Center can buy tickets early starting on Tuesday, August 7. 

In a career spanning more than five decades, Dylan’s impact on popular music and culture is immeasurable. He is responsible for some of the most influential albums of all time, including The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde on Blonde, and his socially and politically charged singles, "Blowin’ In The Wind" and "The Times They Are A-Changin’," are widely considered among the most important songs in modern music. The ‘voice of a generation’ boasts an unparalleled repertoire, including timeless classics, "Like A Rolling Stone," "Tangled Up In Blue," "Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door," and "Girl From The North Country."

In 2012, Dylan received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and in 2016 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
