MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help with information concerning a recent theft.
According to a press release, a vendor at the 127 yard sale in McAfee reported that a male had stolen a rare piece of hardware and fled the area on foot.
A witness to the theft attempted to get the registration number on the getaway vehicle, but was unsuccessful.
The male was described as a white male, 30-40 years old. Driving a gray Chevy truck with possibly a blue or black stripe along the bottom. The vehicle was parked near the entrance/exit for a quick getaway.
