LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Leslie County man has died after a crash on the Hal Rogers Parkway.

Troopers were called to the collision on August 6.

Preliminary investigation shows that a 2000 Honda CRV was traveling east on the Parkway.   Police say the CRV crossed the center line and entered the westbound lane where it sideswiped a 2005 Ford Ranger driven by Donald Jackson of Isom, KY.

The Honda continued eastbound, colliding head-on with a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe which was driven by 41-year-old Sherry Miller of Big Creek in Perry County.  The Honda overturned causing the driver, 54 year old Bobby Morgan of Stinnett to be ejected.  Trans Star Ambulance transported Sherry Miller, Donald Jackson and Daisy Jackson, a passenger in Jackson’s vehicle to Hazard ARH Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Medical Air Evac flew Bobby Morgan to Holston Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.   Morgan later died from his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
