LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two horses are dead following an accident Thursday morning in Lexington.
It happened around 6 a.m. on Faulkner Avenue near Russell Cave Road.
Police say an individual traveling down Faulkner Avenue struck and killed two horses standing in the roadway. The driver saw them at the last minute and could not stop in time.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
Police working to determine where the horses came from.
