MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A Montgomery County woman faces child abuse charges after two babies in her care were allegedly hurt, parents say the woman babysat kids at her home and one mom says her baby came home with a skull fracture.

Before she would go to work, a Mount Sterling mom would drop her daughter off at a home on Van Thompson Road. It wasn’t an official daycare, just the home of someone who came highly recommended to watch children, but now, court records show that the person who watched these kids is facing child abuse charges.

Megan Webb faces two counts of criminal child abuse. It said that under her care, a nine-month-old child got a skull and rib fracture, and a five-month-old child got a skull fracture. That five-month-old is Josie, Autumn Rose’s daughter. Rose said that luckily Josie is okay, but she came home with a head indent and a bruise on September 11, 2017.

The family rushed her to the hospital where doctors told them it was a fracture.

Also, the Montgomery County jailer said that one of his employees is married to Megan Webb and he’s been hearing rumors of preferential treatment. He wanted to address those rumors.

Webb was indicted this week but she was not brought to the Montgomery County jail. That sparked rumors in the community because the jailer says Webb’s husband is an employee there. The jailer says that her not being brought to jail isn’t suspicious. Webb posted bond at the clerk’s office, so she was never booked into jail.
