LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department is hosting a community cookout today in the city’s East End neighborhood.
If you’re looking for something to do — or something to eat — the event is taking place from noon to 3 p.m. at Charles Young Park.
Free food, music and local resources will be on offer.
The event is part of a community outreach effort, with the goal of cutting down on crime by increasing trust and communication.
