LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man was hospitalized after a crash early Sunday morning along Mercer Road in Lexington.
Police say the single-vehicle crash happened about 1:45 a.m.
First responders worked for about 25 minutes to extract the man from the crumpled vehicle.
Officials tell LEX 18 that the man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Mercer Road was shut down for several hours as crews worked to reconstruct the crash.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
